Website Development (Copy Writing)
Website
development requires you to provide good website copy for your clients.
If you are good at grammar and writing decent copy you may be able to
develop your website content yourself. Many of my clients do this well.
However it must be said that I have been presented with some really bad
material in my time as a web designer.
During the website development process my tactfulness is often stretched to the limit (if you get my drift). However, I do always tell my clients when I believe that the content they have developed is inadequate or just plain unsuitable.
If you prefer to develop your own website copy you must remember that the information you provide is what your website visitors will base their opinions on. Your products and services will be judged on the information and content that you provide on your website. Development of this content is not the same as writing for any other medium. (More information on the actual pages to include when developing a website is available here).
